Configuring IP Address Restrictions within Our Application

Master Admins configure IP address restrictions in our application, as follows:

    1. To access the Security Page, log in to the Own Data Platform and click

    2. Scroll down to the Permitted IPs section.
    3. Click Add. The Add Network options will appear on the right of the screen.
    4. Enter the IP Address to permit (in masked IPv4 format) and click Add. It will appear in the IP Address table at the bottom of the screen.
NOTE: You must enter a subnet mask. Calculate the subnet mask at: http://www.aboutmyip.com/
If you wish to convert an IP address range, the following tool is useful in determining the IPv4 conversions: https://www.ipaddressguide.com/cidr . Use the IP Range To CIDR section to convert.
    1. Once you’ve added all the IP addresses you want to permit, click the Enable permitted IPs toggle. The following message will appear:
    2. Click Enable. The toggle will turn blue with a checkmark to confirm that only permitted IPs are now able to access the platform.
IMPORTANT: Until the toggle is enabled, there is no IP restriction enforced and the platform can be accessed from any IP address.
